MG at Home: The Working From Home Diary

I really enjoy working from home. I can play my eclectic selection of music all day (every day) and no one can complain. Frightened rabbit followed by Yazoo anyone?

This week I have added in a bit of Christmas/TikTok viral stuff as I have been involved in the running of MG OMD’s Twelve Days of TikTok competition.

It’s been great to see the festive spirit coming through as people have got involved in some way or another – whether it’s been through participating in it or judging it.

I am always impressed by MGers willingness to make stuff happen and to win big.

That has been even more apparent in the other project I have been working on this week, which has been to pull together a roundup of all the achievements and initiatives that the people at MG OMD have delivered this year.

Whether it’s been for new business pitches, awards, charity initiatives, industry events, sustainability initiatives, societies, clubs, virtual events, panels or client work – MGers across the board have rolled up their sleeves and made 2020 a year to remember for the right reasons.

I think the main reason I have adapted so well to WFH is not just because I can play my own music all day but because I have been incredibly fortunate to work with some of the most brilliant and caring people– even if it has only been in a virtually so far.

I often think if MG OMD were to have a song it would probably have to be some sort of mega mix which features Billy Ocean, Bill Medley/Jennifer Warnes, Tina Turner, Beyonce and Starship.

Now if I can just figure out how to mix all those songs together on TikTok then I could be in with a chance of winning an iPhone.
